It is evident Puerto Rico is an island while situated at the roof terrace of Ciqala Hotel---a 360 degree view depicts mostly water.  The design of the new bar acknowledges this fact being itself an island likewise with a pool by its side.  

The bar is meant to be a portion of the ocean landscape.  The design takes its inspiration from the Gorgonian interconnected net-like branching corals.  The bar panels are handcrafted with sea shells by the architect Marie Louise Fiedler.  The stone chosen for the top harmonize with the panels having embedded seashells in its matter.

At night the bar takes on a blue hue.
